Many people use gift registry for their baby showers but haven't yet realize the amazing opportunity they have for adding Doula Services.
Using this option with clients, I have found that parents who use the Gift Registry program can expect to receive $300 - $500 toward Doula Services. The program is easy! I supply you with with business card sized Gift Registry cards that read "We are registered with Sacred Tree Birthing, Suggested Gift Amount $20 - $30". On the back side of the card there is a description of what a Doula is and does. These cards are simply placed into your baby shower invitations and many parents find that they receive checks with the cards that come with other gifts. It is that easy. 20 people contributing $20 each is a whopping $400! With my already reduced fee of $1000, you could easily be paying only $600 out of pocket for my services. - Insurance Claims
Some insurance types will allow you to submit a claim against Doula Services. You will need to find out if your insurance has this option and even then it could take some diligence on your part to see it through. This is a really great option and if you can see it through, you may be able to get all or a good portion of services covered.
